What is Shout-Outs?

Shout-Outs is a recognition tool that provides a fun and engaging way to recognize each other for all the ways you go above and beyond. Each Shout-Out comes with a digital pin that will be displayed on your Shout-Outs profile. To recognize someone with a Shout-Out, click the Peccy icon in AtoZ (located on the top right corner), find the peer you’d like to recognize, and select the Shout-Out you’d like to send. If you receive a Shout-Out, Peccy will wave at you when you open AtoZ, and your Shout-Out will appear on your home screen.

What is a pin and how do I earn one?

Pins are digital icons, similar to a physical swag pin you would receive on-site, that you will collect each time someone sends you a Shout-Out. Pins are stored under the Shout-Outs section of AtoZ so you can grow your collection over time. When other individuals at your site view your Shout-Outs profile, they will be able to see the last six pins you have earned. When you view your own Shout-Outs profile, you will be able to see pins you have earned and additional you can earn in the future.

Who can I send Shout-Outs to?

Shout-Outs can be sent to other L1 – L3 employees or managers based on the structure of your site and organization. Shout-Outs can be sent to any L1 – L3 employee or manager working at the same site as you and, if you are in the Customer Service organization, across the organization. If you can’t find a person you work with through the search function in Shout-Outs, contact HR or your manager for support.

Am I required to participate in the Shout-Outs program?

No. This program is voluntary but you will be auto-enrolled and may receive Shout-Outs from your manager or peers. If you do not want to participate, you can choose not to engage with the program.

Who can see my Shout-Outs?

Shout-Outs are only visible to the sender and recipient of the message. Other colleagues at your site will not receive, or be able to view, Shout-Outs sent to you. However, other colleagues can see your public profile, which includes your badge picture, first name and last initial, your role at Amazon, and the six most recent pins you’ve earned as well as those you can earn in the future.

Can Shout-Outs be customized?

Shout-Outs sent from one associate to another can be customized by adding selected GIFs to the Shout-Out message, but the message cannot be customized at this time. Currently, only managers can customize a Shout-Out message.

I'd like to send a Shout-Out but I cannot find the person I want to send it to. What do I do?

Shout-Outs can only be sent to associates at your site. If you’ve searched for an individual using the Shout-Outs search function and have not been able to identify them using their name, alias, or photo, talk with HR for support.
